The responsibility of the comment
The art of journalism is to write for many but just a tip or opinion to develop a personal account of events. Such work will press the experienced leader writers, columnists and commentators reserved. For here one goes often on the thin ice of journalistic freedom. How often the press is being sued for their critical comments of public figures, can be traced in the counter-statements of the newspapers and TV stations. But the very argumentative or critical comment is fundamental to the democratic freedom of the press. position to comment on current events is a fundamental right of our Constitution.
But just because the commentators should stick to the generally accepted principles of journalistic commentary. For the reader or viewer, the information must be clearly distinguishable from the opinion. The event is explained in a neutral representation, evaluated or interpreted by arguments to the opinion of the author. The reader should thus be rather encouraged to form their own views on the issue. Often, but especially in tabloid journalism, news and opinion within the mixed contribution. Real facts, and ranking are then often not clearly distinguishable. The reader or viewer is no longer able to work out own views or opinions, it is subject to a quasi "opinion makers".
